The New Electrical Panel.....07.19.2010

As some of you remember, the house failed inspection right before we moved in, delaying the signing. It was due to the condition of the electrical panel. All the wires were exposed. So in order to pass inspection they put a make-shift panel over it (as seen below).
With all the superfluous conduits, wires, and boxes, it looked a mess.

We knew the electrical panel was on our list of things to do but we were dreading it because of how much it was going to cost. We spoke with our neighbor the other day and he said he was quoted $6000 to have his replaced. Ehhhhhhh! Fortunately, one of Colin's friends at work (an electrical engineer) said he would help us out for a small fee ( a case of beer)

Organized, new conduits
No extra, wires or conduits. Just the electrical panel. And we promise it is straight as an arrow. The line in the stucco is where we removed the crooked water line from.

We couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out. We also are glad this project is over with! We ended up choosing the hottest weekend so far to do this project (Temps ranging 113-116F). It was miserable but now we have our power back on and no more fire hazards!
